Strawberry Marks – Haemangiomas on NewBorn
Haemangiomas are bright red coloured marks that are visible on the skin. Most of the babies has at birth or develop soon afterwards. Infabtile haemangioma are the raised marks on the skin often present on head or neck and may appear anywhere on baby body look like a strawberry.The colour may vary from bright red,blue to purple.
Generally girl babies are most affected by strawberry marks.This strawberry mark results from an overgrowth of newborn blood vessels. It grows rapidly during initial stages and sometimes it will disappear without any treatment by years of time. Its been identified that it develops while baby is in mothers womb,When small veins,capillaries grow fused under baby skin leading to these marks
How do Baby Suffer ?
As these marks tend to grow bigger and bigger.It will make your baby to look awkward. Strawberry marks may occur in face,head,mouth,nose,ears,hands,legs,genitals.
Your baby cant eat properly if it was near to baby mouth,she cant breath properly if its near nose,may have difficulty in walking and moving around,if its in hands and legs,Ear can be get affected with poor hearing ability.Genitals may affect their reproduction capacity.
Treatments A wide range of treatments are available to shrink the marks.some times a surgery may be required to remove haemangioma to help the baby.Some birth marks requires no treatment as it may get fade over time and it wont do any harm for baby.
